Pinar de Perruquet’s Fiberglass Trees
Designed by Arteks Arquitectura in Spain, this artificial arbor is made from a grid of fiberglass fins. This material is suitable to the marine conditions of the site, as it does not erode. The high winds required it to have some give, so the canopy moves slightly in the wind. The overall result is a public art piece mimicking the surrounding trees that provides some relief to park goers from the summer sun. Photos via Arteks Arquitectura.
