Walter Jack Studio<\/a>,\u00a0based in Bristol England, is made up of self-described \u201cmakers of things.\u201d From public sculpture to architectural elements to an abstracted clock as building facade\u2026their experimentation with materials and form is worth a look. Here is a GRP slide, slightly reminiscent of a\u00a0piece by Zaha Hadid we posted<\/a>\u00a0on a while back.<\/p>\n

Crumpledslide is \u2013 simply \u2013 a slide. But instead of the A to B experience you get on a playground slide our design gives some choices. It is for exploring and playing on (and beneath) in many different ways. And it is intended to look beautiful \u2013 a different language from that of playground equipment. Crumpledslide was designed with wire mesh. A sheet rubber model was then scanned \u2013 and the scan used to CNC cut a polystyrene core.
